Process
I Our Process
Working with an experienced Interior Designer has its notorious advantages. Not only will they help you find the furnishing of your dreams, but they are crucial when it comes to comparing different types of materials and accessing trade-only furniture. Should the need arise, they will help you avoid any expensive mistakes when calculating the cost of any installation oversights and material recommendations, plus they are able to design customized features and furniture to fit your needs.

-
INITIAL CONSULTATION/SURVEYING
We will set up a discovery call and schedule an initial consultation. In this phase of the project, we consider the following aspects:

-
Designing: OBSERVE/UNDERSTAND
We will:
Send you a link to fill out our online surveyCollaborate on ideas with inspirational pictures for a better understanding of your desired concepts, styles, and any expectations that you may have.

-
Designing: PLANNING
We will:
Think and propose a timeline for the work and create a financial estimate for the work. (We calculate an estimate based on the time and scope and size of the project)Set up visual accounts in Pinterest or Houzz for youSet up an initial presentation meeting, either virtual or in person, timing will be depending on scope of work. Send you the contract for signature.
-
Designing: CONCEPTUAL DESIGN
We will:
Think and evaluate possible design/ color solutions. Draw the plans based on your existing architectural ones, or if needed, from scratch based on the site measurements. Create or refine the generated 3D plans, with views and elevations. Have a formal presentation including the proposed layout on the floor plan(s), renders, elevations and color palettes, along with the inspirational pictures, Mood Boards, and some material samples.

-
SCHEMATIC DESIGN
Once layout is discussed, revised and finalized, we will send the formal floor plans and 3D views for your approval. Once signed plans are received, we will start the ‘Purchase of Merchandise Phase,’ creating a finished product list and a presentation for definitive furniture selection. In this stage you are able to choose making the purchases on your own guided by our suggested list and floor plan design or ask us to purchase for you on the following conditions:

II. PURCHASE OF MERCHANDISE
The transformation begins!
We will create and share the merchandise list with you for your approval and deposit. Then we will purchase the merchandise and schedule deliveries. We will specially design plans for any custom products or built-ins.We will prepare (and submit for your approval) purchase orders regarding the completion of interior installations and purchase of merchandise. The Designer will receive all correspondence, such as acknowledgments, invoices, and shipping notices related to the project and shall promptly process all such information on your behalf and keep you updated on any issues, should they arise. If a return is needed, we will notify you and revise store conditions for returns and any fee involved from them. Purchase management fees depend on the project size and scope of work. Normally, the clients get the benefit of an experienced designer to select the best product or material for your space according to the client’s expectations and restrictions, and the designer gets compensated upon the discounts approved merchants provide to them. this means the client pays retail price of the merchandise (regular, not sale price) to the Designer and the Designer makes the purchase, generally getting a discount for which, they will be compensated on the time invested in selecting each piece, management, and material selection. Certain brands or providers do not offer a discount to the designer, (Ex. Wayfair, Overstock, etc. so we will not work with those providers unless the client is willing to invest hourly rate for the products research on those sites).
The "Purchase Management Fee', although calculated on the value of the items and the cost of services coordinated, is a fee for professional services rendered by the Designer and is not a commission. The Purchase Management Fee will become due and payable at the time of merchandise estimate approval.
